We are dedicated to providing support, connection, anf resources for caregivers and parents of individuals with disabilities.
Inclusive activities
Seasonal activities for all abilities in a sensory friendly environment.
Raising Awareness
HEROES has spread awareness and acceptance by attending and/or providing activities at numerous events around the community. We have attended. First Fridays, the Duck Derby, 4th of July parade as well as activities, Christmas parade, Autism Awareness Day, and we also helped with the building of the Multi-sensory all inclusive playground in our community.
Calm &Safe Environment
We offer a calm and safe place during some community wide events.

Inclusive activities- All of our events are sensory friendly and all-inclusive. Every year we host a sensory friendly Easter Egg hunt- Sensory friendly Trunk or treat, sensory swim and many more.
Raising awareness
Safe and Calm environment
HEROES is about providing a safe and calm environment at all of our activities and events. We provide a calm environment where our individuals and families can be themselves and not worry about being judged. If a family comes in crisis, we have trained board members that are able to intervene calmly and in a non judgmental way.
How It Works
We have monthly support meetings and we have speaker meetings. Our speaker meetings have professionals that speak on topics that are needed in the community. These meetings are September through May. During these meetings, families can connect with each other and are provided with different resources that pertain to the monthly meetings topic. We are also on the WhatsApp app. This allows families to have access to HEROES support everyday.
